Tim Niesen won second place at the TDWI Award 2016

Tim Niesen is going to be honoured for his 2nd place at the „TDWI Europe Conference with BARC@TDWI Track“ on 20 – 22 June 2016 in Munich. The prize is awarded by TDWI Germany e.V. and INFOMOTION GmbH for excellent Bachelor’s and Master’s theses in the area of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence.

In his master thesis, Tim developed an evaluation schema to assess risks inherent to manufacturing processes in an Industry 4.0 scenario. Besides a conceptual design, a software implementation is available as a prototype in order to demonstrate the real-time potential of risk assessment.

Congratulations to Tim Niesen and his academic supervisor Constantin Houy!
