The 14th International Conference of Business Informatics is held under the motto

“Human Practice, Digital Ecologies, our Future”.

The motto refers to a world of interlinked information systems, in which a rapidly increasing number of actors and data must be taken into account in analysis and design in business practice. The support and further development of the practice of these actors against the background of new possibilities of digitalised markets, services, business models and customer interactions requires thinking in terms of digital ecologies beyond individual products and services. Their design is a project for the future in which new digital interaction possibilities enable a joint approach by providers and customers, developers and users, and ultimately also researchers and practitioners. Their design raises new questions for business informatics as a scientific discipline and generator of innovation. At the same time, it allows new bridges to be built into other, digitizing disciplines.
